1 - Treat it as a practice run for your wedding day
Unless you're a seasoned model it's unlikely that you're used to being photographed professionally. A pre wedding session is a good way to adjust and feel comfortable whilst having the camera on you. Once you have your images back it may also help you establish what type of images you are naturally drawn to for example: close ups rather than wider angles or you may realise you prefer your side profile to front facing images etc. Knowing your preferences can help guide the images on your actual wedding day!
If you're thinking about using smoke bombs, sparklers etc why not bring these along to your pre-wedding session to practice any creative shots you have in mind.
2 - You can incorporate your images in your wedding
You will get some awesome images to keep and treasure, yay! You can also use the images for save the dates or to decorate your reception.
3 - Get to know your photographer
Crazy as it is, on your wedding day you will probably spend more time with your photographer than you will your new Mr or Mrs. With that in mind it's pretty essential you feel at ease with them. What better way to get to know your photographer than hanging out with them! It also gives us a great opportunity to chat all things wedding! Remember us wedding photographers attend countless weddings and are a font of knowledge on timelines, suppliers and can help with any advice or questions you have when planning your big day.
Oh and lastly... pre-wedding sessions are included in my 'Full Works' package so it won't cost you a penny!
