Jamie & Ant's Relaxed Cosmopolitan Wedding

at Old Marylebone Town Hall

Jamie and Ant’s London wedding was relaxed, intimate and very much about spending time with the people they love, with brilliant food, plenty of laughter and a few lovely surprises along the way.

I first met Jamie and Ant at their friends’ wedding in Chelsea in 2024. During the day, I took a candid photo of them sharing a cheeky kiss and, apparently, that was the moment they decided I was going to photograph their wedding too. Honestly, hearing that was pretty damn special!

Their day began at Old Marylebone Town Hall, with family travelling over from the US to celebrate with them.

The couple had been super chilled about the morning and were happy to play the first look by ear, if there was time, great.... if not, no problem.

As luck would have it, they arrived early and the Town Hall was unusually quiet, so we had plenty of time.

Ant’s reaction when he saw Jamie was absolutely perfect. Completely genuine and absolutely blown away.

We also had time to get their portraits done before the ceremony, which actually made such a difference to the rest of the day.

Rather than having to disappear for photographs when they should have been enjoying their wedding, they could get straight into it with their guests. They were fully present, chatting, eating, drinking, laughing and just being part of their own day.

And that made my job much easier too. I could stay in the background and photograph all those lovely moments as they happened, rather than constantly pulling them away for photographs. The result was a gallery full of the little interactions, laughs and in-between moments that I love so much.

Jamie looked breathtaking in her Clover London gown and had some beautiful sentimental touches, including jewellery and a purse belonging to her grandmother.

After the ceremony, we walked through Marylebone to The Grazing Goat for food, drinks and the speeches. Ant’s best man was actually a previous groom of mine, which was such a lovely coincidence, and the speeches were a great mix of funny stories, sibling rivalry and some very sweet words from Jamie’s family.

With guests from both sides of the Atlantic, there was also a bit of slang that needed translating, which caused a fair amount of amusement!

And then came the couples surprise for their guests: The iconic red London bus.

Waiting outside The Grazing Goat, it whisked everyone off for a tour around London. A pretty perfect way to finish the day, particularly for those who had travelled over from the US.

I absolutely adored how Jamie and Ant approached their wedding. There was no pressure to make everything fit perfectly. If there was time for something, brilliant. If there wasn’t, they were happy to just enjoy the day. And I think that’s why it all worked so well.

The first look, the walk through Marylebone, the speeches, the bus and all the little moments in between. It really was the perfect relaxed cosmopolitan day and completely them.

Congratulations again Mr & Mrs E!
