Micaela & Andy - A Long-Awaited Winter Wedding Filled With Light

Some weddings are worth the wait, and Mic and Andy’s winter wedding was absolutely one of them.

Originally planned for 2024, their day was gently postponed while they focused on growing their family.

When it finally arrived, it felt all the more meaningful, intimate, thoughtful, and rooted in the life they’ve built together.

Thoughtful Details, Effortless Style

Micaela described herself as a Type A bride, and every detail reflected that... considered, precise and beautifully curated.

As a content creator, her vision was always going to be on point, and it truly was: modern, elegant and effortlessly on-trend.

Yet despite all that careful planning, Micaela was super chill on the day even when Andy accidentally drove over the train of her dress with a golf buggy. A moment that could have caused panic instead became one of laughter, proving that once the day arrived, nothing mattered more than simply marrying her person.

A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Andy’s reaction as Micaela walked towards him is hands down one of my favourite wedding moments, ever!

The emotion on his face was completely unfiltered, filled with love, awe and relief that this long-awaited moment had finally arrived.

It was honest, vulnerable, and incredibly special to witness.

The forecast promised rain, but luckily for us winter had other ideas. Instead, we were gifted with THE most beautiful winter sunshine, crisp, bright and golden. The kind of light photographers dream of and couples never forget.

For a half-day celebration, it felt wonderfully unhurried, allowing space for moments to breathe and emotions to land.

What made this wedding especially moving was how deeply family was woven into the day. Their little ones were part of the wedding party, The couples eldest son took his role super seriously as he proudly walked his mama down the aisle. A poignant moment that this wasn’t just a wedding, but a celebration of the family they have built together.

Proof That Timing Is Everything

Micaela and Andy’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that sometimes plans change for all the right reasons, and when the day finally comes, it’s all the more special.

It is always an honour to photograph someones wedding but even more of a compliment when your bride is in the industry!
