When I first met with Harriet & Stephen at the gorgeous Norfolk coast for their pre-wedding session I just knew we were going to have so much fun and lots of giggles. If there was an award for the most smiley bride of 2024 Harriet would win hands down.
Harriet and Stephen had envisioned an outdoor ceremony surrounded by the lush greenery of Seckford Hall’s immaculate lawns. However, Mother Nature had other plans. Thankfully, the team at Seckford Hall along with Harriets bride squad seamlessly pivoted and turned the Great Hall into a beautiful boho wonderland.
The indoor setting of the great hall turned out to be the perfect backdrop for the couple’s boho-inspired theme. The neutral tones and soft lighting of the hall complemented the earthy tones of burnt orange and pampas grass in the decor. Harriet’s attention to detail was second to none, many of the pieces were handcrafted by the bride herself, yet they looked as though they had been styled by a professional. From table arrangements to signage, her personal touch brought a heartfelt, bespoke element to the day and a nod to the couples journey over the years.
As luck would have it, a brief dry spell graced us and we seized the opportunity to head outdoors for Harriet and Stephen’s portrait session. With the sun peeking through the clouds, the couple and I took a whirlwind tour of Seckford Hall’s breathtaking grounds.
In just ten minutes, we managed to capture a variety of images that showcased the venue’s beauty. From the serene lake to the grand, tree-lined driveway, every corner offered a picturesque backdrop. Harriet and Stephen’s joy was infectious as they made the most of the fleeting sun and an opportunity to soak up a few slow moments in the midst of their big celebration.
We decided on Seckford Hall’s bar area for some fancy and fun group shots. The cozy yet luxurious space added a boujee vibe to the photos, with laughter and drinks flowing freely among family and friends. These images captured the essence of the day: a celebration filled with love, joy, and a lot of laughs. I can't stress enough how important it is to chose a venue with a wet weather option so you don't have to compromise on style for your images if the weather doesn't go your way.
When it came to the speeches, Stephen spoke straight from the heart. You could tell how much it meant to him to have all their favorite people in one room. He shared stories from his and Harriet’s journey together, full of sweet and funny little moments that had everyone smiling. And then there was Harriet.... her smile lit up the room, and you couldn’t help but feel the love and happiness between them. It was such a special moment to witness.
With all the formalities done and dusted it was time to hit the dance floor, When the newlyweds took to the floor for their first dance they didn't take their eyes off each other and it was apparent for all to see how much this day meant to them. Shortly afterwards the beautiful bride popped on her dancing shoes and the party was officially on.... One of my favourite scenes of 2024 has got to be the photo booth props of the couples cats being paraded on the dancefloor - obsessed!!!
