The Boathouse, Ormesby Broad - April 2022

When I arrived at the Boathouse, the bridal prep was in full swing and everyone, especially Emma was super zen. There were plenty of smiles and happy tears (mostly from proud maid of honour Laura) as the girls opened their cards and gifts.
The stunning bouquets and centrepieces had been lovingly tendered to by the mother of the groom adding that personal touch. The elegant style and bright colours matched Emma's personality to a tee and were exactly what Emma had envisioned for her special day.
We had the pleasure of not one but two first looks before we set off for the ceremony.... first up were the bridesmaids seeing Emma in her gorgeous gown for the first time, followed by Emma's dad who had been anxiously waiting to see his beautiful daughter and accompany her down the aisle. Both reactions were tear jerkers!
This was one of the few wedding morning's that ran perfectly to schedule thanks to Emma's precise timeline and organisation skills, I cannot stress enough how important it is to allow time to really soak up these precious moments!

After an anxious morning of checking weather apps, the weather gods were looking down on us and the sun came out in all its glory meaning that Emma would get the outdoor ceremony she was desperately hoping for.
The time then came for Emma and her crew to make their way to the waterside a few minute drive away to hop on the boat to make their way over to the boathouse talk about arriving in style! The boat journey was full of excitement and giggles.

Over at the Boathouse the guests and Isaac patiently awaited the arrival of the bride. The suspense was palpable.
Emma's mum and bridesmaids walked the aisle before the beaming bride and her dad took to the red carpet. After the "I do's" we were treated to two beautiful and emotive readings from the bridal party.

One of my favourite things about The Boathouse is that straight after the ceremony there is an opportunity for the newleyweds to be whisked away for 10 minutes on the boat. It's such a great idea to allow the couple to really soak it all in and celebrate their first few minutes of married life before being bombarded with congratulations!
Before dinner we headed out to the front of the venue for the all important confetti shot, Emma's mum had been busy making her own confetti for the big day, this wedding was full of personal touches!
After the yummiest vegan meal I've ever eaten we had speeches from father of the groom, best man and Isaac, safe to say I was sobbing behind my camera as Isaac's voice began to crack when he was speaking about his new bride.

It really was a perfect day for a perfect couple. Congratulations again E & I and thank you for choosing me to capture your happy day!
