As soon as....
The lovely C&P landed in my inbox I just knew this wedding was gonna be a bit of me! Relaxed vibes, exchanging vows whilst looking out to sea and the beautiful North Norfolk coast all followed by a huge party in a hangar.
The setting of Barn Drift is beyond beautiful, set on the North Norfolk Coast in the super picturesque village of Cley next the sea. The house itself is a super stylish barn conversion surrounded by private farmland and overlooks the saltmarsh and sea. The venue is licenced for weddings both in the house and the aircraft hangar which is where C&P chose to have their ceremony.
On the morning of the wedding the house was brimming with friends and family assisting the soon to be Mr & Mrs with all the finishing touches. Not only did the bride and groom style the venue themselves they also undertook the huge task of catering. The lucky guests were treated to a delicious picnic spread complete with earl grey cocktails!
The "I do's"
The time came to say I do, the beautiful Carys descended the iconic Barn Drift staircase arm in arm with her super proud dad and made her way across to the hangar to marry her soulmate. The ceremony was full of special personal touches, including readings from the grooms son and maid of honour Faye.

Whisked away..
After the ceremony I whisked the new Mr & Mrs off for ten minutes of calm and togetherness. With the gorgeous Cley beach on the doorstep they braved the winter wind and danced on the beach, soaking up that just married feeling! We are so lucky in North Norfolk to be spoiled for choice with beautiful beach backdrops.
Family, Friends and Feasting
As the afternoon went on the guests were seated in the perfectly styled Barn Drift drawing room and we heard some touching words from the father of the groom and best man. As the winter sun began to set the guests were treated to an absolute feast prepared by none other than the newlyweds. Even the scrummy rustic naked cake had been lovingly made by the couples families - you would never of guessed it wasn't made by a professional cakemaker.
Let the fun begin
With the speeches done and dusted C&P took the celebrations back to the hangar. I'm such an advocate of doing YOUR wedding YOUR way and this beautiful day was a perfect example with personal touches incorporated at every step of the day. From the personal readings at the ceremony through to the dinosaur fairy lights!
The hangar was decked out with glow sticks, a DIY photo booth and axe throwing, not a dull moment - which is just a dream from a photography perspective. Entertained guests make entertaining photos!
