Prep and Pints

Abi spent the morning surrounded by her girls, with the sunshine pouring in and the vibes super chilled. One of my favourite moments was her first look with her dad as she came down the stairs, she genuinely took his breath away.

Meanwhile, the boys, along with very important guest of honour, Chilli the Vizsla, got ready before heading to the pub around the corner from the church for a quick pint with friends. The perfect start to the day!

Church Ceremony & Chilli's Big Moment

Abi made her way to the church in a Land Rover Defender, the dream countryside entrance. The ceremony itself was full of love, laughter, and a few happy tears. Abi couldn’t stop smiling (a photographer’s dream!) and there were beautiful readings from her auntie and granny.

And of course, Chilli had her big moment. Waiting patiently at the back, she trotted down the aisle to deliver the rings to her mum and dad absolutely nailing her role as ring bearer. A moment that Abi & Chris had spent hours training her for!

Perfect Portraits

Abi had a clear vision for her portraits she wanted that slightly vintage, looks like film kinda vibe. We’d chatted through Pinterest inspo ahead of the day, and we had a pre-wedding shoot which was a great opportunity to establish preferences ahead of the main event. Helping make everything flow so naturally on the wedding day. It’s always such a dream when a bride knows what she wants, and honestly, so satisfying to see that vision come to life in their portraits.

Confetti so good that we did it twice!

If you’ve ever heard me talk about confetti, you’ll know I say: more is more. Abi took that advice to heart and went with the BEST colourful confetti from Flutter Darlings. Not only did we have one confetti line straight out of the church, but round two came as Abi and Chris drove down the garden path at home. I’ll admit, I thought I might get mown down by the classic MG at one point, but it was completely worth it for that epic shot of Chris driving his new wife through a complete whirlwind of confetti!

Speeches and Shots

Back at the family barn, guests enjoyed drinks in the sunshine while Abi & Chris poured their champagne tower in total style. A few group shots followed before everyone settled in for speeches. The room was full of laughter, and the speeches wrapped up with the whole wedding party taking a shot together... such a fun way to kick off the evening.

Fields of gold

Abi & Chris thought of all the little details that made their day so personal, from his & hers cocktails to Abi changing into her chic mini dress, ready to dance the night away.

Their first dance was sweet and heartfelt. From there, Chris and his mates stormed the dancefloor, quickly followed by granny, proving that the party was well and truly on.

As the sun dipped, we snuck away for ten minutes of dreamy golden hour portraits in and around the fields surrounding the barn and oh boy were we treated to a sunset! With all the formalities finished I headed off leaving the new Mr & Mrs celebrating in style with all tehir loved ones.

Congratulations again Mr & Mrs W - Planning a garden wedding is not for the faint hearted but you two absolutely nailed it. What a beautiful day!
